Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. We aim to align this website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA and will improve it as the Initiative develops.
What we are working to provide

- Keyboard access to navigation, forms and interactive content.
- Visible focus indicators and meaningful link text.
- Text alternatives for informative images.
- Readable colour contrast, spacing and responsive text.
- Motion that respects reduced-motion preferences.
- Forms with understandable instructions, validation and error messages.
Known limitations
Some complex animated diagrams and downloadable PDF documents may not yet provide an equivalent experience for every assistive technology. Social platforms and other third-party destinations are outside our direct control. We will prioritise text explanations, accessible alternatives and improvements to documents as resources allow.
Using this website
You should be able to enlarge text, navigate using a keyboard, use common screen-reading technology and reduce non-essential motion through your device settings. If a diagram is difficult to understand, the accompanying text should explain its principal meaning.

If you cannot access content or complete a task, email hello@childfriendlyinternet.org. Please tell us the page, the problem, the technology you were using and the format or assistance that would help. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible.
Continuous improvement
We will review accessibility as new pages, forms, documents and visual explanations are introduced. Feedback from children and young people, people with disabilities, educators and accessibility specialists is especially valuable.
